FEEDBACK FROM THE OPERATIVE EXPERIENCE. Feedback obtained after a certain time carrying out a production activity and the actions embarked upon afterwards. This is one of the main resources in introducing different production processes, since the operative experience is analysed exhaustively to identify the causes of possible failures. In this way, they can be avoided and where this is not possible, the feedback facilitates their correction.

FINANCIAL LEVERAGE. Relationship between Other Resources (debt) and Own Resources (shareholders’ equity). Calculated by dividing Total Liabilities by Own Resources.

FOSSIL FUELS. Materials of organic origin, made up from the remains of living beings in previous eras. They are the main source of world energy at present and are polluting and non-renewable fuels.

FOSSILS. Fossils are remains of living beings or traces of their activity, conserved in sedimentary rock strata, and to a lesser degree in metamorphic rocks, after having suffered transformations in their composition and deformations to a greater or lesser degree.

FUEL. Material capable of liberating energy through a process of transformation or the modification of its properties. Two kinds of fuels exist: solid (coal, wood and peat); and fluid (liquids such as diesel, kerosene or petrol/naphtha, and gases such natural gas or liquefied petroleum gas, represented by propane and butane).
